Fox 38 Factory Grip X2 is a bicycle suspension fork designed for fast, demanding off-road riding where confident handling, stability and durability matter. The Factory model has been optimized for 160 to 180 mm of travel, while the use of Genuine Kashima Coat and the Float Evol GlideCore air spring helps reduce friction and improve suspension smoothness. The version with the Grip X2 damper was created for control when riding at high speed on difficult trails.

Technologies

  • Grip X2 Damper - a damper that provides better traction and even more control when riding at high speed. According to the provided material, it is the most tunable, supportive and smoothest descent-focused damper ever created by Fox.
  • Arch Against - the arch and lower leg design maintains the legendary torsional stiffness of the 38 fork, while increasing bushing overlap by 20 mm. The result is lower friction and increased sensitivity.
  • Float GlideCore - an air spring that moves with the fork under dynamic load. It reduces friction and binding, resulting in smoother suspension action.
  • Genuine Kashima Coat - the stanchion coating used on the Fox 38 Factory model.
  • Air Channels - air channels used in the fork construction.
  • Bleeders - bleeders used in the fork construction.

For riders using DH, Park or Extreme Freeride bikes with lift access, or riding in extremely wet/muddy or dry/dusty conditions where trail debris gets onto the fork or shock, Fox encourages earlier maintenance than recommended above, if needed. If you hear, see or feel anything unusual, stop riding immediately and contact an authorized Fox service center for the appropriate inspection.

We recommend!
We recommend performing a small Fox fork service every 50 hours of use, especially on models equipped with Grip-type dampers.
In this type of construction, oil circulates between the damper and the lower legs, which means that any contamination entering the lower legs may also get into the damper.
Please remember that the 125/200/300 h intervals are interchangeable with a 1-year period - if the equipment does not reach the hourly interval within a year, service should be performed before the end of 1 year.
This is especially important during the warranty period.
